Year 11-12 Incursion

This incursion empowers students to build positive habits for growth and success during their senior years by understanding human behaviour and developing effective routines for improved academic outcomes. It explores mindset, helping students challenge limiting beliefs and adopt a proactive approach. The program also covers nutrition principles for physical and mental wellbeing, focusing on balanced meals and healthy snacks for sustained energy and concentration. It also addresses the menstrual cycle, encouraging students to adapt their routines to their monthly energy and productivity fluctuations.

Module 1 – Habits and Mindset

In this transformative module, students will learn how to build small, consistent habits that foster growth and success. By understanding the feedback loop of human behavior, they’ll discover how positive routines can lead to long-term progress and improved academic outcomes as they move into their senior years. The module also explores the power of mindset—helping students identify and challenge limiting beliefs and shift from a victim mentality to a victor’s mindset. As a result students will gain the tools to take charge of their thoughts, actions, and ultimately, their future.

Module 2 – Nourish to Flourish: A Nutrition Guide

This module explores the principles of nutrition and how they directly impact both physical and mental well-being. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how to structure their daily eating habits, from crafting a balanced nutrition plan to managing three main meals and healthy snacks throughout the day. With a focus on fueling the body for sustained energy, concentration, and growth, this module equips students with the tools to make informed, mindful food choices that support their academic and personal success.

Module 3 – Eating and Exercising For Your Menstrual Cycle

This module talks about the menstrual cycle and highlights the importance of aligning daily activities, including eating and exercising, with these changes. It encourages students to recognise the fluctuations in their energy levels and productivity throughout the month and adapt their routines accordingly.

Year 9-12 Pick and Mix Modules

1. Power Up! Sports Nutrition
For Young Athletes

This module teaches young athletes how to fuel their bodies before, during, and after exercise for optimal performance. Students will learn about energy requirements, the importance of hydration, and how proper nutrition supports strength, recovery, and overall well-being in order to balance their athletic schedules with their academic ones.

2. Healthy Social Media Habits

This module helps students understand how social media impacts self-esteem and body image, and how to set healthy boundaries. Students will learn to find balance online and create positive, supportive digital spaces that boost confidence and wellbeing.

3. Assessing and Optimising Nutrition Plans

This module expands on the core principles of nutrition, offering a deeper, more detailed understanding of how to understand, create and maintain a personalised nutritional plan. Students will review their eating habits with a food diary, calculate their energy intake, and identify their individual energy needs. They’ll learn how to balance energy input and output for a more mindful, effective nutrition plan.

4. Boosting Your Digestive Health

Dive into this module to uncover the vital factors that contribute to a healthy digestive system. Students will learn to recognise behaviors and lifestyle choices that can lead to digestive issues and discover the nutrition and habits that promote gut health. With practical strategies for improving digestion, they'll be empowered to make informed choices for lasting wellness.

5. Mind Matters: Strengthening
Wellbeing and Mental Health

This module explores the fundamentals of wellbeing and mental health, helping students understand their individualised social, emotional and mental health needs. They’ll learn how to identify and build strong support networks and discover strategies to enhance social wellbeing and manage friendships that are crucial during the senior years. Students will also explore practical coping techniques to boost mental resilience and improve overall mental health.

6. Sports Psychology: Unlocking
Peak Performance

This module delves into the key principles of sports psychology to help athletes reach their full potential. Students will learn how to develop positive self-talk, engage in reflective practice, and plan for improved psychological performance. They’ll explore techniques to manage performance anxiety and stress, while also recognising the signs of overtraining to ensure long-term success and a healthy balance between sport and academia.
